KERNERSVILLE RELAY FOR LIFE

Friday June 5, 2015 from 7pm-midnight

EFHS Stadium

Come on out, bring your family and friends, and enjoy a great night of music, fun, and inspiration! Come applaud the survivors as they take the first lap, and take part in the silent lap of darkness while luminaries light up the field!

Honor and remember those who are fighting and those who have lost their battle with cancer. Hope to see you there!

DO YOU LOVE TO DANCE? WE’RE HAVING A DANCE-OFF AT RELAY FOR LIFE FROM 8-11PM!

$5.00 per person to enter and if you can “cut a rug” for three hours, you might win a $25 gift card to J.Peppers!

Any students signed up to take AP Psychology at East next year, please see Ms. Smith in room 606 to get your summer assignment.

If you have signed up to take AP Language and Composition next year and you have not received your assignment letter, you must stop by room 504 before the end of the year to pick up your summer assignment.

Any student taking AP US History next year needs to stop by Room 605 for your summer assignment!

ATTENTION FUTURE AP Environmental Science Students: Beginning on Monday, June 1st, report to Mr.

Jasso in Room 703 to pick up your summer packet. Prepare a 3"x5" inch index card with your name and a GOOD email address that you can be reached with over the summer. You will give the index card when you pick up your summer packet.

Just a reminder to all students: LOCKER CLEANOUT WILL BE AT THE END OF THE MONTH!

From now till then start throwing away those wrappers, taking the dirty gym clothes home and getting a head start!! You might find hidden treasures, money, lost books, lunch boxes…who knows? So go ahead and get a leg up on a big job!

Any girls who are interested in playing volleyball next year need to see Coach Terry in Room

708 or Coach Valdes in Room 1103 for more information.

Make sure to hold on to your special graduation ceremony on DVD ! Pick up an order form from guidance, go online to www.newbeginningsvp.com, or call 336.681.2905. You can also email dsvideo2905@yahoo.com if you have any questions. DVD’S will be recorded and available at East Forsyth the week after graduation. Cost is $20 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to East Forsyth!

Cap & Gown Delivery

Any Senior who did not pick up their cap/gown/announcements should stop by Guidance to pick up their items ordered. If you have a balance, call Jostens at (800) 567-8367 to pay the remaining amount owed BEFORE your items can be distributed. If you have not ordered a cap/gown, you need to do so immediately and will be required to pay $75 at this point in the year…Call Jostens to order!

IMPORTANT GRADUATION REMINDERS

Attention East Forsyth seniors and parents/guardians of seniors:

This message is to remind you of several important pieces of information regarding graduation and rehearsal so please listen carefully.

MANDATORY graduation rehearsal will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 4th. Students are asked to arrive at

7:30pm. All students MUST be present at rehearsal in order to participate in the actual graduation on Saturday.

Students should NOT bring caps and gowns to rehearsal. The rehearsal will be at the Winston-Salem

Entertainment Complex.

On the day of graduation, Saturday, June 6th students are to be at the Winston-Salem Entertainment Complex

(formerly the LJVM) in Winston-Salem by 11a.m. Graduation will begin at 12pm and any student arriving after 11:30am will be placed at the end of the graduation line. East Forsyth students are reminded to park in the

Sierra Mist lot. Visitors and parents will also park in the Sierra Mist lot. Please plan accordingly for traffic and parking issues since the East graduation follows another high school’s graduation.

The dress code for male graduates is dress slacks, shirt and a tie; dark socks and dress shoes. Do not wear shorts, tennis shoes, boots or sandals. For female graduates, they should wear dresses, skirts, or dress pants. Do not wear shorts, tennis shoes, flip flops/Birks, or boots. Dress sandals with a heel are fine. Any student not adhering to the dress code will be asked to leave and change their attire before they are allowed to participate in graduation exercises. Students are not allowed to wear any cords or sashes except for the NHS sash.

In addition, the Winston-Salem Entertainment Complex does not allow parents and visitors to bring air horns or other noisemakers, balloons, wrapped presents, food or drink into the coliseum. Bags will be searched at each entrance and all banned materials will be confiscated.
