 What is created when magma hardens between rocks in a horizontal crack?
A vertical crack?
 What direction are the tectonic plates moving in California?
 Study Figure 3 on page 218. Understand the terms and movement
occurring on this diagram. (What type of boundary? Why is magma rising?)
 Study the 3 volcanic mountains on pp. 230-231. Understand how they are
formed, what type of eruptions produced them, and how they look.
** Review your Volcano Webquest AND Mount St. Helen’s article. There will be
one question from each of these on your quiz.
