SERVICE
Jean-Paul Willard, Malik Gibson, Durrell Jackson, Keith Zarders, Lanard Fournette,
Charles Brown, Stanley Morgan, Tre Dawson - Knight for a day volunteers. Every Monday in
Sept and October these guys dedicated themselves to assistance with recruiting.
Derek and Denero Dunbar (7th gr) Service (volunteers) -- They volunteer for everything; have
great school spirit. Helping the speech and debate team; wipe the floor at the basketball games;
they are in the band. Put effort in everything they do. They are always cheerful, watching them
makes me glad I'm their teacher. The thing I admire about them is you don't have to ask they will
volunteer automatically.
Mr. Brandon Dunn and Mr. Dillon Dunn - Service and Character -- They are the epitome of
Purple Knights. They are very courteous, studious, and always willing to help with small service
projects and Open House.
Lance Williams - Christianity - Mr. Williams is an exceptional student and always gives words of
encouragement and offers prayer after class.
Eric Whitaker, Robert deVold, Aperecio Wiggins, D'Andre Christmas-Giles
Darius Joseph, Jeffery Ducre. -- Exemplary Purple Knights that have all displayed: Respect,
Cooperation, Hard work, Leadership by example, Brotherhood. Juniors that are helpful and are
serious and conscientious about their studies.
Competitive Achievement
Entire 8th grade science team (29 students) who competed in the UNO Space Day program. They
placed 2nd in two events.

ACADEMICS AND BEYOND
“B” average or better 1Q was 135 students (20%); Same for 2Q 134 students (20%); For first
semester it was 119 students (17.5%). Number of students with perfect attendance for first
semester was 45 (7%).
Total students with B and better GPA for 1st semester AND perfect attendance is 12 (2%). Of the

Tre Dawson - Service – (Ambassador) Dedication to the school is incredible. Has been on every
recruiting event to help increase enrollment on and off campus. Seven schools and the Urban
League.
Charles Brown – Tournament MVP in both Chalmette and St. Thomas More’s Sunkist Shootout
Tournament Lafayette, LA. Also was a Superior Winner at FBLA District VI for Sports &
Entertainment Management. Means he is studying the business side or sports. Finally, he was a
role model for his display of Brotherhood. When interviewed after the game he said … “ I love St.
Aug. Don’t know what you heard, or rumors ,,, this is the place to be.”
