FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR TOUR AROUND DERBY’S
HISTORIC RAILWAY PAST
A walk around the Railway Conservation Area in Derby takes place on Sunday (17 May) as part of
the Council’s Walks and Activities programme.
Join the Friends of Derby Museums and Art Gallery for a walk led by Maxwell Craven around the
Railway Conservation Area looking at its buildings and history, including the award winning terraced
railway houses. The walk will also include part of London Road.
Members of the public who are interested should meet outside Derby Midland Railway Station at
2.00pm and the walk should finish at about 3.30pm. No dogs please, except registered assistance
dogs.

All the walks and activities are suitable for all the family, free of charge and a fun way for people to
see more of the city and help to improve their health.
