Student Drop Off/Pick Up Procedure

Car Rider Pick-up & Drop-Off Procedures
1. Parents & students must adhere to the parking procedures of the school.
2. All parents/guardians must stay in the vehicle and let only the students enter or exit.
3. Please make sure that your visor tag is clearly visible.
(Car rider numbers written on paper (or sticky notes) by parents can not be used. We want to be
100% sure we are sending every child in the right vehicle, and homemade car rider numbers create a
security/safety concern.)
4. All morning and afternoon pickups are made in the circle drive. To minimize classroom disruptions,
early dismissals are discouraged.
5. Please make sure that your child is prepared to exit/enter the vehicle once you have pulled up
to the pick-up area.
6. If you need to help your child into the school we ask that you park your vehicle in visitor’s
parking areas and use the sidewalk – do not walk through the pick-up traffic.
7. Students will not be released to parents on the sidewalk or be allowed to walk to cars waiting to
enter the pick-up area.
*If you have forgotten your card or have not given it to the designated person responsible for
picking up your child, you MUST park your car & report to the office to sign out your child. In order
to verify the identity of the person picking up a child, PLEASE remember to have your picture ID
ready for office personnel.
The safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority! We have instituted this pickup procedure for the safety of the students. We want to ensure that all students leave the school
safely and with the appropriate adults. Although there may be an occasional inconvenience to you if
you have forgotten your card, we hope that every parent/guardian will help us in improving this
process. The safety of our students comes first. We thank you for your understanding and
patience.
If there are any questions regarding this procedure, please feel free to contact me at (269) 6631040 or via email dbecraft@eps-online.org.
Thank you,
Deborah E. Becraft
