Best Turned Out Horse or Pony and Rider - Mare or Gelding, four years old or over to be
ridden. Rider 18 years and under.
Novice Pony – not exceeding 14.2hh, never to have won a first prize in a ridden class, rider
any age.
Best Leading Rein. Show Hunter or Show Pony - Mare or Gelding, four years old or over,
not exceeding 12hh (122cms), suitable for and to be ridden by a child not having attained
their 8th birthday on the 1st January the current year.
Best First Ridden. Show Hunter or Show Pony - Mare or Gelding, four years old or over,
not exceeding 12hh (122cms), suitable for and to be ridden by a child not having attained
their 10th birthday on the 1st January in the current year.
Mixed Height Open Show Pony/Open Show Hunter - Mare or gelding, four years old or
over suitable to be ridden by a child. 128cms / 12.2hh rider not having attained their 13th
birthday, 138cms / 13.2 rider not having attained their 15th birthday and 148cms / 14.2hh
rider not having attained their 17th birthday on 1st January in the current year.
Best Young Handler - six to ten years of age on the day of the show. Entry fee per exhibit
per class is £1. No stallions or colts permitted.
Best Young Handler - eleven to sixteen years of age on the day of the show. Entry fee per
exhibit per class is £1. No stallions or colts permitted.

Mountain and Moorland in hand - stallion, mare or gelding, fours years old or over.
Mountain and Moorland Ridden (small breeds) - stallions, mares or geldings, four years
old or over. Breeds eligible for this class Section A and B, Shetland, Dartmoor, New Forest,
Exmoor. No pony may be led in this class.
Mountain and Moorland Ridden (large breeds) - stallions, mares or geldings, four years
old or over. Breeds eligible for this class – Section C, D Connemara, New Forest, Dales,
Fells and Highlands.
Mountain and Moorland Leading Rein - Mare or gelding, four years old or over, not
exceeding 122cms (12h.h.), suitable for and to be ridden by a child not having attained their
9th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
Mountain and Moorland First Ridden - Mare or gelding, four years old or over, not
exceeding 128cms (12.2h.h.), suitable for and to be ridden by a child not having attained
their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. No pony may be led in this
class.
CHAMPIONSHIP - First and Second Prize winners from classes 55 to 60 are eligible to compete.
SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP -To be competed for by the Champion exhibit in each section.
The Royal Oak Cup to be presented to the supreme champion of show together with £40 and £20 to
Reserve Supreme
