RESEARCH TOPICS:
Cultural models, cognition, cultural evolution; globalization; social and psychoanalytical
dynamics-how social structure and its properties are independent of (have nothing to do with, and
often are antithetical to) psychological aspects of being human; globalization as a continuation of
cultural evolution and as leading to a radical rupture in human lifeways, culture and nation-state
polities; romantic love cross culturally as a means for finding transcendent meaning and as a
universal bonding agent used also to construct group solidarity and life meanings; Psychedelics--a
means to broaden the human experience into the unknown whatever that may be.
SUPERVISING:
I have acted as a Masters and PHD supervisor in Lithuania, Maceodnia, Sri Lanka, the U.S. and
Ireland.
