AG CONNECTIONS
Earlier this year, a new agriculture group was formed in Henry County and surrounding counties. Ag
Connections is the name of the group of young and beginning farmers, and they have already produced
some great meetings to inform themselves, to network, and to socialize.
The Ag Connections group will be meeting this Friday, September 12 , 6:00 pm, at Coombs Jericho
Acres Dairy, 3401 Lake Jericho Road, Jericho, KY. (Southwest Henry County). For those coming from
Shelby County vicinity, head up 53 toward Smithfield and take 153 to Jericho.. Coming from Oldham,
Trimble, and Henry vicinities, head over toward Pendleton, pick up 153 south toward Jericho.
Featured speaker will be Bradley Gray. Bradley is a Henry County native, currently living near
Owensboro with his work with Kalmbach Animal Feeds. You won’t want to miss hearing his
presentation. He is always informative, entertaining, and inspirational. Also on the program will be a
veterinarian from the Henry County Animal Clinic, giving a good update on local animal health.
A sponsored meal is planned. Please contact the Henry County Extension Office by 4:30 pm on
Thursday to let us know your intentions to attend. Call 845-2811 or email smoore@uky.edu. The Henry
County Farm Bureau Federation is sponsoring the meal.
Many thanks to the leadership team of Ag Connections for organizing this summer gathering and to
Curtis Coombs and family for opening their Jericho Acres Dairy Farm to host the event.

Beef Network, and Tim Dietrich, Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
Please let us know at 845-2811 by September 15th if you plan to attend.
FENCING SCHOOL
The Kentucky Beef Network is hosting a Fencing School on Tuesday, September 16, 10 am. A
morning session starts at 10 am in the Owen County Extension Office. A sponsored noon meal will be
followed by some hands on fencing out at the KCA/UK Eden Shale Farm. Please let us know at 845-2811
