Developed a clinical database using Microsoft Access, MySQL, Visual Basic, C#, .NET and Microsoft Server IIS
that will help to further the understanding of longitudinal patient outcomes in Alzheimer's Disease. Research
goal is to understand how and why they transition from normal cognition to a dementia. Other dementing
illnesses included in the study were Mild Cognitive Impairment, Frontotemporal Dementia, and Primairy
Progressive Aphasia.

Collect raw and disparate clinical data which encompassed over 700 variables and 5,000 patient visits
on the clinical manifestations and course of illnesses from 7 regional hospitals, including Dignity Health
Care and Mayo Clinical.

Conducted routine and non-routine analyses of clinical data in order to maintain 99.7% error free.
Interpret Clinical Data, compared them to established patient outcomes, and make recommendations
on appropriateness of data for research.
Develop and deploy update research modalities to improve data collection and treatment protocols.
This included tasks such as developing a Statistical Machine Learning approach for predictive modeling
of patients 4 year in advance.

schema’s and tools such as SQL Manager, MySQL, Mongo DB, Maria DB, and Neo4j. Clinical patient
modeling such as Phenotype Portal, I2B2, CME, QDM, Drools, Epic and Cerner.
Patient Health Data Banking and Aggregation through the usage of open source software such as
OpenEMR, OpenMRS and OpenEHR.
Data Mining and Statistical Analysis of Patient and Drug Data using WEKA, Orange, R, SAS, Matlab,
and Octave.
Reduction of Medical Errors through use of Technology such as the development of event driven
clinical decision support tools and improvements to human computer interfaces with current medical
devices and electronic health care tools.

Presented with the TGen Helios Scholars Award in the field of Bioinformatics. Assisted in the
development of a novel approach to generate, curate and validate computationally derived and
experimentally derived gene regulatory networks.

Presented membership with the American Chemistry Society. Was one of the first computer science
engineers to ever be presented with such a scholarly membership.
Presented runners up position in Arizona States University’s business plan competition. Team’s idea
was to develop an application which converted medical bills from various software into one
standardized format.

Presented with the Motorola Ambassador award. This award is presented to select individuals who
have demonstrated ethical practices above and beyond the scope of normal engineering protocols.
