here:
http://www.hl7.org/documentcenter/public/wg/bridg/BRIDG%20to%20Specimen%20DAM%20Mapping%20Spreadsheet%2020150909.xls
a. Link to BRIDG model: http://bridgmodel.nci.nih.gov/files/BRIDG_Model_4.0_html/index.htm - chose VIEW:BSP - biospecimen
b. Link to Specimen DAM: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=Specimen – scroll to bottom for image
Discussion:
Over 227 additional attributes to look at from higher level classes that we should consider started looking at the following:
BRIDG is logical and concept model, while DAM is only concept level… o we need to keep that in mind, when reviewing these elements –
several may only be need, once you leave the concept level…
Activity – need more information to figure out what to do here.
Activity.comment - need more info, but might be helpful if this can be used as reference to what kind of activity this is
Activity.identifier – probably not needed
Activity.reasonCode – OUTSIDE of Specimen DAM – relevant for the specific test ordered on the specimen, not to the specimen – may
need to have a clear description of the boundary in the DAM
Activity.involvedExperimentalUnit – outside of DAM
Activity.invovled subject – if this links to the subject form which specimen is collected, then we have that link – map to subject
Activity.usingExperiment – differentiation between research and non-research activities is out of scope for DAM
Activity.usingNonResearchProject – differentiation between research and non-research activities is out of scope for DAM
Animal – covered in DAM under non-human living subject – so far DAM currently has species attribute only
Animal.breedCode - so far DAM currently has species attribute only
Animal.description - so far DAM currently has species attribute only
Animal.ReproductiveOrgansPresentIndicator – not needed in DAM
Animal.speciesCode - Non-humanSubject.SubspeciesRank (String) in DAM – update to code
Animal.biologicEntitiy – do we need this in the DAM as grouper term?
BiologicEntity.administrativeGenderCode – have in DAM for person – would we need for animal as well?
Pick up here next call - state of the spreadsheet at the end of this call:

NEXT CALL is January 6, at 10:00 AM ET
Call adjourned 10:59 AM ET
5. Next Steps:
a. Compare Specimen DAM to biologic specimen model in BRIDG = Identify issues, if any find resolution – doing that on our calls
b. IHE AP domain is working on structured AP report in CDA and has some requirements, we might not yet have considered – have
added the concerns identified to the spreadsheet above - Identify issues, if any find resolution
