Counselor/Chaplain

Responsibilities
 Provide counseling and pastoral care to assigned individuals and groups
 Train and manage volunteer staff to provide pastoral care and counseling
 Support assessment of new guests during intake process
 Learn and oversee the implementation of the “Genesis Process” curriculum used in
UGM recovery programs
 Work effectively with a recovery program team to provide safe and healing
environment for residents seeking recovery physically, emotionally, and spiritually in a
Bible-centered, Christian, faith-based program
Required Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in pastoral care and counseling, biblical counseling, and/or pastoral
care or the equivalent degree and experience
 Proven effectiveness in counseling, pastoral care, discipleship ministry
 Experience with addiction recovery counseling
 Strong leadership and administrative skills
 An ability to train and manage volunteers
 Strong team player with healthy interpersonal skills
 Ability to model and facilitate Christ-like crisis management and conflict resolution
 Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
 Master’s level Licensed Mental Health Counselor, biblical counseling, and/or pastoral
care or the equivalent degree and experience.
 Knowledge relating to prescribed medications
Compensation
Hiring range : $34,600-$41,600
