Application for operating support to consumption of urea in SCR systems
This form shall be used to apply for support for consumption of urea directly connected to SCR
systems supported by the NOx Fund. Only urea consumed in relation to emissions subject to NOx tax
in Norwegian waters is eligible for support. Offshore service vessels and mobile rigs may be granted
urea support for traffic between installations on the Norwegian continental shelf, provided that the
traffic between installations is a part of traffic that in its entirety is between Norwegian ports, as these
emission reductions may be accredited to the obligations stipulated in the Environmental Agreement.
Support will be paid in arrears based on a minimum of 3 months regular operation. Support may also
be given for a longer period of time.
It is a condition in order to get support to consumption of urea that the company is not getting its costs
covered from customers or someone else.

2. The Environmental Agreement (Environmental Agreement Concerning Reduction of NOx Emissions
For the Period 2011-2017) point 4.1, 2nd paragraph:
"When implementing measures on ships, also the effect the measure has on ship operations between permanent installations
at sea within Norway’s economic zone may be credited to the reduction obligations in article 3.2, on the condition that such
shipping is part of shipping that is in its entirety conducted between Norwegian ports, without docking at a foreign harbour
or at permanent installations at sea outside of Norway’s economic zone, i.e. that the emissions are included in the Norwegian
emission inventory."
