BYLAWS/CROSS COUNTRY
2.1
Cross Country will be a fall sport.
2.2
There will be a schedule of three (3) center meets and a conference meet.

These center meets will be scored with one (1) point given for the winning team.
The Conference Championship qualifying meet shall be held the week before the
Sac-Joaquin Sub-Section meet and the winning team will be given two (2) points.
MEET ADMINISTRATION
2.4
There will be two divisions: Boys' and Girls' Varsity and Fr/Soph.
2.5
The distance for the Boys' Varsity shall be three (3) miles. For all other divisions it
shall be two (2) miles and not less than 1.7 miles.
2.6
Conference Center meets shall begin at 3:30 p.m.
2.7
Seven (7) members shall constitute a team in a conference meet. Only the top five
finishers shall count in a team score.
2.7-1 Once Fr/Soph are moved to Varsity and compete in a conference meet they may be
moved back to Fr/Soph in conference meets.
2.7-2
Fr/Soph may move down from Varsity after the conference meet to qualify for the SacJoaquin Section meet.
2.8
The pennant will be awarded to the winning Varsity champion in each division.
2.9
All-Conference patches will be awarded to the top seven (7) finishers in the Conference meet.
2.10
All of the above shall apply to boys and girls.
2.11 The duties and responsibilities of running the Conference meet will be rotated from school to
school.
