Code of Conduct
In an effort to lessen the disparity between sorority ideals and individual behavior and to
personalize these ideals in the daily collegiate experience, the following basic expectations of
membership have been established.*

I will:
Know and understand the ideals expressed in my sorority Ritual and will strive to
incorporate them in my daily life.
Abide by all national policies and procedures of Sigma Lambda Gamma as well as my
own entity bylaws.
Strive for academic achievement and practice academic integrity.
Respect the dignity of all persons; therefore I will not physically, mentally,
psychologically or sexually abuse or haze any human beings.
Protect the health and safety of all human beings.
Meet my financial obligations in a timely manner.
Neither use nor support the use of illegal drugs; I will not support the illegal use or
abuse of alcohol.
Challenge my sisters to abide by these sorority expectations and will confront those
who violate them.
I understand that if I,
