Key Selection Criteria

Tertiary degree in education or relevant learning related discipline or
equivalent work experience in the area of designing and developing
learning methods for higher or professional education.
Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
Proven ability to:
 Research and identify strategies to strengthen and develop higher
educational pathways relevant to BKI’s current offerings.
 Research the viability of innovative learning programs
 Plan and facilitate the implementation of innovative delivery
 Be consultative and work collaboratively with others
 Work autonomously
Demonstrated understanding of:
 VET sector
 Training package requirements
 Higher education pathways
Position Purpose
 Provides strategic input and operational coordination to:
- strengthen existing courses and pathways,
- develop new pathways between BKI programs and higher
education programs to continuously improve BKI’s reputation for
excellence in teaching, learning and services delivery solutions.
 Researches, implements and evaluates strategies for increasing
completion rates in relevant higher education feeder programs to
improve retention and student satisfaction, with a particular focus on
the Diploma of Management/Human Resource Management as
potential feeder programs for the Bachelor of Applied Management.
 Researches the viability of establishing other ‘feeder’ programs for
higher education degrees at BKI such as the Advanced Diploma of
Management and the Diploma of Justice.
 Investigates and develops (if appropriate) a delivery model and work
plan for the delivery of relevant higher education programs at BKI
with a particular focus on the Bachelor of Applied Management and
Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice).
