Specifically, I am trying to determine the ancestors and descendants of a MARSHALL
GRAHAM (b. 24Augl832) near Thompson-town, PA, then Mifflin and now Juniata County, a
son of JAMES
AND SOPHIA ______ ? ____ GRAHAM, the latter possibly resided in
Virginia. I believe JAMES GRAHAM (birth and death dates un
known) , oldest son of WILLIAM GRAHAM (B. about 1719), may
have been the grandfather of MARSHALL GRAHAM, and that MAR
SHALL GRAHAM got his first name from the GRAHAM connection to
the MARSHALLS

daughter who married JAMES BLACK; JANE GRAHAM MILIGAN, his daughter who married

From Dorothy Lobb:
Marshall is not my line. His wife is and she was Magdadena Stahlman. Stahlman is my line.
Ernie’s grandmother and my grandfather were brother and sister.
Here’s the little I have on Marshall. He was killed during the Civil War in 1863. His discharge
papers say he was 44. So with that I came up with a birth year of 1819. I have scanned his
papers time after time and it does not identify his birthplace expect to say Perry Co. and
sometimes just Perry. With him being married it lists his wife and on the pension papers his
children. I have talked with Perry County Historical Society and Cumberland Co. H.S. I’m not
sure if I talked to Juniata Co. He was married in Huntingdon Co.
