Do you ever wonder why the Convention and Visitors Bureau includes the local nightlife
information on our website and in these weekly e-mails? It doesn’t really seem like that’s doing
much to attract visitors to town, does it? Well, the truth of the matter is that a full 80% of visitor
spending happens after 5pm. Think about it. When you’re traveling, even if it’s just for business,
do you really want to just sit in your hotel room all night watching television? Probably not.
There’s still a lot of time for fun left after the attractions close.
I’ve noticed that one of the hardest things to do when traveling is to find out what’s going on
that’s not related to some big festival, event or attraction, but you could be missing out on some
serious fun and great music if you don’t know what clubs are hosting live entertainment.
Therefore, we try to find out as much as possible about the local entertainment, then send out the
information as far and wide as we can. (Hint – let us know what we’re missing!)
Please visit the community calendar on our website at www.visitnorthplatte.com, as new events
are added all the time. Please feel free to email Ginger at gady@visitnorthplatte.com if you have
an item you would like to have added to the calendar. Remember, we can’t tell people about your
event if we don’t know about it!
Do you Twitter? Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/NorthPlatteNEBR How about
Facebook? www.facebook.com/VisitNorthPlatte
We post lots of fun stuff in both locations.
As always, just reply that you would like to be removed from the list if you no longer want to
receive these updates.
