Principal’s Message
Dear Parents,
There will be many rainy days ahead, so please plan to wait patiently in line and leave
home a few minutes early. The MPR will be open on very cold and rainy days for students to
wait inside from 8:15-8:30. The traffic tends to be much more congested on rainy days
creating unsafe situations for students in the parking area. Please be extra cautious!!
Please remember however that there is NO SUPERVISION for students before 8:20. There are
many students arriving before 8:15 a.m., and they are unsupervised. From 8:20-8:30 students
are monitored by teachers on the playground. When the tan bark is frosted over, students
are not allowed to play on the structure as the equipment and ground is very slippery.
Thank you to all the parent and student volunteers who made the Cookies and Cocoa with
Santa a huge success. We had standing room only for the winter program, at which many of
our students showed off some amazing talents and skills.
I am looking forward to a great basketball season with Coach Fontes. Our students have been
practicing hard in preparation, so please come and show your support as ALL our games are
away. On rainy days, teams will be practicing in the MUR.
We have many clubs beginning in 2016, keep an eye out for flyers with more information!
Happy New Year to all!
Sincerely, Clara Lee
From the Department of Child Nutrition Services (CNS)

MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION
Our Green Elementary students pulled it together under the leadership of Mrs. MacAdams’ students, to
write 5,359 letters to raise money for children of Make a Wish Foundation. It was an outstanding effort
by the whole school, to show that we care and that we can make a difference in the lives of others.
Congratulations Green, and we are so proud of all of the students who wrote letters to Santa. THANK
YOU!
Reservation Forms
In early February, we will be mailing out the 2016/2017 Reservation Form for current Transitional
Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Please attach the two proofs of residency outlined on the
form and return them to the office by February 29, 2016. If you are currently on a Declaration of
Residency, you must attach or bring in two proofs of current business mail addressed to you at
your residency address. If you have changed residency or plan to change residence by August,
please notify the school immediately. Failure to return the Reservation Form and documentation of
residency by February 29, 2016 will result in your child not being on a class list in the fall.

PARKING AND DRIVEWAY
SAFETY
White zone is for loading and unloading only. Please do NOT
park and leave your car in the driveway when picking up
students from Kinder or TK. Cars that are parked will be
reported to the Fremont Police Department. The driveway is
a FIRE LANE. It may be inconvenient to park and pick up your
young student, but it is for their safety to be dropped off and
picked up by an adult, to and from school.
When crossing the driveway, please use the white Cross Walk
at all times. DO NOT call out for your student to run across
the driveway to your parked car. PLEASE KEEP ALL OUR
STUDENTS SAFE.
