HEALTH GUARANTEE
Mike and Tonya Shull of Shull Valley Boxers have made every effort to provide the
purchaser with a healthy puppy that is guaranteed to be in good health at the time
purchaser takes ownership. We guarantee this puppy to be a purebred Boxer that is able to
be registered with the AKC. We guarantee that all shots and de-worming are current at
time of purchase as stated on the Veterinarian’s Certificate of Health included in the
purchaser’s puppy packet.
For the protection of both parties the puppy should be examined by a licensed veterinarian
at the purchasers own expense within 3 business days of taking ownership of the puppy. If
this puppy is found to have a life threatening hereditary congenital defect or any major
health problem at that time, a replacement puppy of equal value will be offered (within 12
months), provided that the breeder is notified within 24 hours of the vet exam and provides
the breeder with a signed letter from the licensed veterinarian on official letterhead stating
the exact defect or health problem. If the purchaser does not take the puppy/dog to a
licensed veterinarian within three (3) business days of taking ownership, this guarantee
becomes null and void. This puppy must be returned to the breeder along with the AKC
Registration papers and the signed letter from the licensed veterinarian within four (4)
business days of taking ownership of the puppy. We, the breeder, are not responsible for
any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the purchaser after the date of purchase.
Certain disorders may be caused by environmental factors, including, but not limited to,
the following: cocidia, giardia, kennel cough, cancer, demodectic mange, scabies, allergies
and other autoimmune system disorders, and these are not covered in this guarantee. This
guarantee does not include injuries, fleas, mites, kennel cough or any other intestinal
worm/parasites, as they are common in dogs/puppies. Our puppies are vet checked prior to
leaving our home and the veterinarian’s certificate of health stating the medical findings
for this puppy are included in your puppy packet. This guarantee does not include uneven
bites, undescended testicles, class I or II murmur, inguinal or umbilical hernias. We, the
breeder, will not be responsible for Parvo, Distemper or Cornona Virus after 24 hours of
the sale, as these are highly contagious diseases and they can be contacted immediately
after leaving our home. We will not be responsible for illness or health problems, which
are diagnosed after this time period, except where specifically stated in this contract.
Your puppy is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of birth against life threatening
congenital defects. If within that time a life threatening congenital defect (not to include
parvo virus, distemper virus, heartworms or any nutrition related disease) is attested to by
two non-associated licensed veterinarians and the reason is congenital, the breeder will
replace the puppy with another puppy of same breed, quality and price if our veterinarian
agrees with the required written reports from the two non-associated licensed veterinarians.
The breeder must be notified at the onset of the problem, in writing, with a report from the
two veterinarians. The replacement puppy will be subject to availability (within 12
months). We do not make cash refunds. We, the breeder, are not responsible for any
veterinarian bills acquired by the purchaser. We will not be responsible for illness or any
health problems, which are diagnosed after this time period.
In the unlikely event of the death of this puppy in the first year from date of birth, due to
congenital defect, a statement from a licensed veterinarian confirming such an event and
cause is required before any action will be taken by the breeder. If cause is unknown an
autopsy is required. The breeder will not be responsible for veterinary or medical bills
associated with such an event.
Your puppy has been on a vaccination and de-worming schedule while in our care and is
up to date and official records of these have been provided in the purchaser’s puppy packet.
We encourage you to take this health record to your veterinarian, it is important to
continue with the vaccination and de-worming schedule after taking ownership of your
new puppy.
You, the purchaser, agree to insure your puppy’s good health and to keep our guarantee in
effect by taking good care of the puppy and providing good food, housing and good
medical care. As a responsible puppy owner/purchaser you must provide your puppy with
routine preventative care and all immunizations, administer monthly heartworm
preventatives and annual physical examinations by a licensed veterinarian.
This contract is valid only for the original purchaser of this puppy as stated at the end of
the contract. This contract is non-transferable. If the puppy/dog is transferred to another
owner at any time, this contract becomes null and void. This contract is null and void if
any of the terms and conditions are not fulfilled.
The breeder makes no guarantees, expressed or implied, under this contract except as
stated above.
This guarantee must be signed at the time of purchase and both parties receive a copy of
this document. By signing below both parties, breeder and purchaser, have agreed to this 1
Year Health Guarantee and understand the terms and conditions of the contract.
