-Teacher continues to ask guiding questions over the movie and their perceptions.
-Students watch movie Instructions Not Included and answer guiding questions and write
down their perceptions.

Checks for Understanding: clear up any misconceptions and stereotypes

Daily Objective. I can learn the new vocabulary for chapter 5A and recall the translation and
pronunciation for my oral quiz

Opening:
-Teacher uses a PowerPoint presentation of chapter 5A vocabulary words with meanings
-Students use a guided vocabulary sheet and write down the meaning and try to understand
the word
-Teacher reviews pronunciation and students repeat
-Students go onto the HUB for extended practice and/or pair up with a classmate to do a
flashcard review for tomorrow’s oral quiz
