From the Principal’s Desk:
Dear BMS Parents and Families,
It’s hard to imagine that there are only a few
weeks of school left. I want to take this
opportunity to thank everyone for making this
such a wonderful and productive year. The
support from both the staff and families has
been tremendous. In addition, the cooperative
and respectful behavior of the students has
made every day a pleasure to be here. I truly
appreciate everything that you all contribute
to make the Brennan Middle School such a
warm and nurturing environment.
The month of June will be very busy
with planned events such as the School
Barbecue, Spring Concert, field trips, Field
Day activities, and the End of the Year Award
Ceremonies.
We urge you to keep this
newsletter handy as you may need to refer to
it throughout the month with times of events
related to your child/ren’s grade levels.
As many of you already know,
Wednesday, June 26th is the last day of school.
It is an early release day and students will be
dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Enjoy all of the end of
year celebrations and field trips as this school
year comes to an end.
I look forward to beginning my fifth
year as Principal at Brennan Middle School
with the strong, instructional force of our very
committed staff, along with the wonderful
support of our parents and families. It is truly
a pleasure to serve in this important role as we
all work together with our vision for
continued progress.

8th Grade Social:
The social will be held at the Highland
Country Club on Mon., June 24th from 6:309PM. Cost is $20 per student. Laprade Studios
will be there for formal pictures (prices range
from $10-$15). Picture envelopes will be
distributed to all students. Dinner and dessert
will be provided.
All students attending the social MUST be in
attendance, on time for school and CANNOT
be dismissed the day of the Social.

awards ceremony:
Breakfast will be served for only 8th grade
students and their teachers on Wed., June 26th
@8:15AM. Awards/promotional ceremony will be
@10AM parents/guardians are invited to
attend. Dismissal is @11:30AM.
Report cards:
Report cards will be distributed to all students
on Wed., June 26th.

Reminder

Middle

Parents/Guardians:
Please remember to pick up your child’s
medication before the close of school or they
will be discarded.
Incoming 5th graders must have an updated
physical, please send a copy to the School
Nurse.
Proof of 7th grade immunizations will be due
before the first day of school or your child will
be excluded until such documentation is
received. Please contact Jacquie O’Brien at the
Attleboro Health Department to inquire about
free immunization clinics. Appointments are
necessary. 508-223-2222 X3241.
If your child has a serious health concern,
please contact the nurse before the start of
school so a meeting can be set to review your
child’s needs.
SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSES:
Attleboro Public Schools are always looking
for energetic and qualified nurses to be per
diem nurses in the schools. If you are a
Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in
the State of Massachusetts and think you may
be interested, please contact Deb Ebert, Nurse
Coordinator at 508-222-5150 x1386 for more
information. All per diem nurses will need to
fill out an application in the district Personnel
Office and go through an orientation.
From the B.O.P.:
Our next meeting will be Tues., June 11th @6:30PM.
Thanks to the parents that sent in items and
helped with the luncheon. The Brennan staff was
treated to a luncheon and received goodies
throughout the week.
BRENNAN BARBECUE:

To accommodate students and their families during
the barbecue luncheon, we have extended lunches
to be 30 minutes in length.
