The Institute of Road and Transport
Technology was established in the year
1984 as research oriented Engineering
College. It is under the control of Institute
of Road Transport (IRT), Taramani,
Chennai and run by the State Transport
Corporations of Government of Tamil
Nadu. The Institute is located in a
sprawling lush green campus of 350 acres.
It provides a congenital atmosphere for
Technical education. The Institute offers 7
UG Degree courses in Engineering in
various disciplines and 3 PG courses in
Engineering and Computer Applications.
The Institute has excellent infrastructure,
well equipped laboratories, library and
highly qualified faculty members. The
Institute is well known for its technical
excellence, modern facilities, good
performance
track
record
and
resourcefulness. It is also a research Centre
for all departments.
DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL
& ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
The department of Electrical and
Electronics Engineering offers four year
UG degree course in Electrical and
Electronics Engineering.
The
department
has
been
recognized by Anna university of
Coimbatore to do Ph.D. programme and
M.S. (Research). Ten staff members from
other colleges have registered for Ph.D. in
the department .The department organizes
a National Level Technical Symposium
ELIXIR, Technical workshops, National
Science Day and Energy Day every for
B.E. degree students and for school
students.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The conference on Emerging
Trends in Electrical Sciences aims to
provide an interactive platform for Industry
experts, academicians and scholars to
exchange their up-to-date information and
experiences on the building challenges
related to emerging trends. The prominent
experts will showcase their latest research
advances, discuss the newest issues and
share knowledge and best practices.
It is intended to facilitate academic,
industry interaction and encourage
association for further research work. It
also aims at the deliberations of off-beat
