1. Upon arrival at the customer site, meet and greet
customer and carry out the required sign in process.
Attend induction if required and follow any site specific
safety requirements including driving and parking of
vehicle.

Keep aware of surroundings when walking.

Site Specific Hazards
Ensure that you are aware of site specific hazards
by reviewing the Site Specific Sisk Assessment
that has been completed for the site.
Traffic and general public
If working from the roadway, load and unload from
the curb side of the vehicle.
2. Check the previous history of the site – Pest Folder
Information if present.
a. Review completed Site Specific Risk Assessment ensuring
that it is still current. If not current or unavailable, then
complete a new Assessment.
3. Obtain permission from site contact for vehicle access to
site.
4. Once parked in approved area obtain equipment from
vehicle;

Ensure that the correct Manual Handling Lifting
technique is used when getting the required tools
and equipment from the vehicle - Do not over
reach into the vehicle, enter the cargo area as
required.

Ensure that when stepping out of the vehicle that
you maintain 3 points of contact.

doors are closed and the vehicle is left secured

6. Commence the installation by starting at bait station #1,
unless other arrangements are made.

7. Upon arrival at the station installation point:

a. Kneel down, step up or step down depending on where the
bait station is to be located
Ensure that the correct Manual Handling
technique is used when bending to service unit
b. Using the dedicated key, open bait station
c. Install station by attaching by chain or wall mount to chosen
location.
i.
Place rodenticide into bait station using mounting
pins where required.
ii.
Scan the barcode (if required)
iii.
Close station.

Ensure that lid is on the bait bucket is secured
before entering the customer premise

Ensure that bait stations containing liquid are
placed in an area where they are not likely to be
touched

Any spills should be cleaned up as soon as they
are noticed leaving no residue behind.
Always wear PPE (Gloves, Safety Boots) when
handling spills
8. Proceed to the next station and repeat steps 5 and 6.

9. Once all bait stations have been installed remove PPE
and return tools, equipment and waste to the vehicle,
placing items in their designated areas within the vehicle.
