JTWC will not be conducting a continuity of operations plan (COOP) because it will cause major disruption to
operations and mission. JTWC has reviewed its COOP procedures and conducted a COOP to Fleet Weather
Center Norfolk prior to exercise due to the Tropical Cyclone Conference in March. All simulations will be
overseen by the Command Duty Officer to ensure that necessary actions could be taken if the occasion arose.
JTWC has reviewed its Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and feels fully prepared for this year’s hurricane season.
