Approval of March meeting minutes II. Endorsement The definition of a credit hour will come to the Academic Regulations Committee (ARC) this April to be entered into the bulletin. This is coming to the UUCC for an endorsement to request the ARC to approve of this definition that establishes the minimum contact time per credit hour. Discussion: A question was asked regarding whether we are endorsing a definition that we don’t currently meet (i.e. 50 minutes is not equal to an hour). A suggestion was made to endorse this definition as is and to request a future clarification of the definition of “hour”. ENDORSED III. In addition, there was an issue of variable hours and variable credits. James W. said he would speak with Carolyn Norman to make the necessary changes. APPROVED pending changes UUCC 04-18-13-008 – Business, Accounting, Curriculum Proposal, – Major, Make ACCT 481 (Law for Accountants) and MGMT 323 (Legal Environment of Business) both available to accounting majors to match the Bulletin with current practice.
