JOB POSTING: Full and Part-Time Program Facilitator

Youth Odyssey is seeking a caring and dedicated individual to help facilitate their adventure
challenge program and summer leadership camps. We are based out of Corpus Christi, TX and on
a mission to provide youth development for at-risk boys and girls ages 10-17 through outdoor
education and life skills development. Our four levels of programming vary from teambuilding
activities, ropes courses, kayaking, rock climbing, backpacking, camping, hiking, and so much
more.
Program Facilitator Responsibilities (time varies with part or full-time position):
 Interacts constantly with Executive Director and other facilitators
 Will facilitate 4-6 programs a week, year around
 Weekend Camping Trips (min of 1/month)
 Summer Leadership Camps
 Weekend Day Trips
 Provides weekly reports
 Leads and assists in ropes course facilitation, kayaking trips, rock climbing trips,
backpacking trips, and camping trips
 Other duties to include but not limited to: grant writing, program development, fundraising
events, and equipment upkeep.
Position available immediately
Salary: DOE, Competitive
Benefits available for full time position
Applicants must have:
 Degree in one of the following or related fields: Outdoor Education, Recreation,
Kinesiology, Environmental Science, Psychology, Wilderness Therapy
 Polished writing and narrative skills
 Experience working with youth (at-risk youth is a plus)
 Highly motivated, self-starter, flexible team player, a good role model
Additional skills that are highly looked upon (training can be provided depending on experience,
commitment, references, and performance)
 Experience with Ropes Course Facilitation
 Must hold at minimum, certifications in CPR and First Aid
 Experience in rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking, hiking, camping, nature programs,
leadership and teambuilding programs
