BUSINESS CONDITIONS

1.

The emeralds are available in the market, so it can be sell at any time to who wants to buy them, so that, no stones are reserved unless payment is processed.

2.

For the negotiation, the client must mail an order via e-mail which must be specified the type of carve wanted, the average carat weight, colour (intensity), clarity of the gem and transparency (crystal), and some other data wanted for us to take it in mind.

3.

Up to 15 working days we will send via email some images and technical data of the gems that can meet the requested characteristics. It is an approach to the requested order and that will be delivered but not necessarily be the gem of image sent. What if it is guaranteed is that is the requested material and customer fully satisfaction.

Once the customer has decided the purchase must be send an email specifying the emeralds that he wants to request and should immediately begin whit the payment process to be able to reserve the stones. This process is known as sealing of emerald.

5.

After payment has been received, by wire transfer to our organization, we will proceed to forward it with all its corresponding payments back-up of the law and related payments such as Colombian government royalties and fiscal contributions to Fedesmeraldas which is the total 2.5% of the goods export value. This cost, as well as the customs fees and other cost fees it can be generated in Colombia are totally covered by our organization.

Shipping and freight collect, insurance and customers costs in the destination country shall be cover by the importer. The importer should also assume the necessary procedures for nationalization of these emeralds.

Another way of trading is that the client sends us a payment in advance and specifications of the stones he wants so that we select the material short and timely for its prompt dispatch. In this case we send images and technical data of the stones available daily so you can authorize the selection (reserve). This is a very common way of working with emeralds and then manages to achieve an acceptable level of trust and understanding between the parties.

If the customer request from us to visit them in their countries, we can bring a sample of stones after an agreement between the parties about the customer’s requirements. It depends on the amount requested and trading conditions to be agreed. This visit will be made by one of our sales representatives abroad who will continue to serve the customer for future negotiations.

9.

It is good to be in mind that in Colombia the FEDEX company carries out international transport of emeralds while it complies with all the law documents on both origin and destination countries so the customer can choose this way of transportation in which the merchandise reaches its final country destination about seven days.

10.

If the client wishes to come to Colombia or send a representative to collect company’s goods, it not will generate any payment of international transport and insurance fees. Our company will provide all the logistics and security and all concern attention with expert staff on international tourism through our trading partner

COLOMBIAN ADVENTURE. For this, the customer must provide information on about stay requirements in

Colombia to proceed to give a quotation for the required service.

11.

If the emeralds are not going to leave Colombia the customer must pay 16% IVA (internal country tax).
