COURSE AIMS
The course (half year, 5 hours per week, 8 CFU) sets out to further develop the
student’s communication skills in the various segments of English for business
communication, empowering their grammatical, lexical, textual and cultural
abilities.
COURSE CONTENT
Special emphasis will be placed on the reception of written English (newspapers,
magazines, essays) in the context of English for Business Communication as a
source of ideas for written and oral production. In addition, some of the
communicative situations characteristic of English Business Communication will
provide the basis for reflection and language practice aimed at strengthening the
student’s communicative skills and proficiency. The course aims to promote the
ability of reception and output, offering activities for listening, comprehension
and written and oral production.

TEACHING METHOD
Lectures with the use of multimedia aids.
ASSESSMENT METHOD
Oral exam on the reading, translation and commentary in English of all the contents of
the compulsory texts.
