6.
Chairman’s report – Ray complimented TT on being such a dynamic organisation.
He referred to the party held for St Marys Day Care Centre, the involvement
of Tidy Town members with fundraising and with the Information Centre.
He said that 2015 was year 1 of a 3 year plan.
TT needs to build relationships with other organisations, such as that recently
formed with the Historical Society.
The results achieved this year would not have happened without the help of
RCDA, RDA, Mens Shed, Wexford CoCo and more recently WLD.
Phase 2 of the plan will see the following:
- The development of an eco – heritage trail with the Historical Society.
- Development of the Village Garden.
- Development of the Main Car park
- Development of the Cliff area including the Tom Murphy memorial
- 1916 Commemoration.
Fundraising will be required; links formed with WLD; more people with different skill
levels involved
Our vision for phase 3 must be to come 1st in our category in 2017.
Finally, Rosslare needs to be accessible to everyone and be colourful all year round.
Roads, footpaths and bridges need to be made safe.
Derelict sites should be eliminated or screened off and underground cabling should be
aspired to.

A discussion followed on grass cutting of verges – it is necessary to cut back some area for
walkers, but also where possible to let verges grow to both save energy and aid pollination.
