Governor’s Leadership Academy 205 (Summer Session)
The Governor’s Leadership Academy is a unique internship program for currently enrolled college and
graduate students to gain a hands-on learning experience in the Governor’s office. The Inslee
Administration is looking for innovative, forward-thinking individuals who are committed to public
service and who want to develop their leadership and public policy skills in a dynamic environment.

Check the on-campus departments you are interested in for open positions. Many departments do not
post their positions, but have job openings available. Going to different departments is also a great way
to network and practice your elevator speech. If you want help with networking techniques, make an
appointment with Career Services.
Assistant Career Advisor - Career Services
The Assistant Career Advisor serves as a primary contact for students seeking assistance in using Career
Services. ACA’s will become job search savvy, while helping others feel more confident about pursuing
jobs, internships, and careers. This position will provide career advising to UW Bothell peers and assist
with program planning, marketing and implementation. Work schedules set each quarter based on class
schedules, availability and work responsibilities.

Graduate Student Advisor - Career Services
The Graduate Student Advisor serves as a contact for graduate students seeking assistance in using
Career Services, primarily concerning professional development. The GSA will advise graduate students
in advanced careers pathways that align with their education, as well as assist in applying for jobs and
internships. This position will research and provide career resources for graduate students at UW
Bothell, continue to support ACA responsibilities, assist with targeted program planning, and execute
graduate student oriented events and series.

Student Assistant – UW Bothell Enrollment Services
The Enrollment Services Office at UW Bothell is looking for a Student Assistant who will support the
Enrollment Services, which includes the Registrar’s Office and the Financial Aid Office. Under the
general direction of the Assistant Registrar, this position is responsible for providing excellent customer
service to current students, prospective students and the general public both in-person and on the
phone, general office tasks and projects as assigned.

Student Assistant – Graduate Office, School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
The STEM Graduate Office is seeking energetic students with a wide variety of skills to be part of their
team and serve as a resource for students, staff, and faculty in the School of STEM Office of Research
and Graduate Studies. The Student Assistant will be the first point of contact for current and prospective
graduate students and for staff and faculty, respond to in-person and phone inquiries, make referrals,
assist with events, create fliers, and generally assist the academic advisors.

Living-Learning Communities (LLC) Peer Instructor – Housing & Residential Life and Orientation &
Transition Programs
Peer Instructor’s will partner with faculty to create monthly, co-curricular events throughout the
academic year. In addition, they will assist in teaching a 2-credit seminar in the fall and winter quarters
on student success strategies. This is an ideal position for students interested in possibly teaching in k12 or at the college level someday.

Student Data Assistant - School of Educational Studies
UW Bothell School of Educational Studies is looking for an experienced part-time (10-15/week) student
worker to support the department with the collection, coordination, and analysis of student and alumni
data. The ideal candidate is comfortable organizing complex Excel spreadsheets, collecting data from
student files and surveys, and responding to staff requests for data that require an understanding of
analysis and statistics.

2015-2016 Pre-Major Peer Advisor – Student Success Center
The First-Year and Pre-Major (CUSP) department is looking for qualified Peer Advisors for Drop-In hours.

Clinical Safety Specialist – Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
The Clinical Safety Specialist (CSS) is based in the Clinical Development Unit at the HVTN Cord
Operations Center of the NIH-funded HIV Vaccine Trials Network. The CSS functions as a clinical safety
data monitor on phase 1-3 HVTN clinical trials, monitoring the clinical data for completeness, accuracy,
and for protocol and regulatory compliance. In addition, the CSS serves as a subject matter expert to
HVTN staff and collaborators on clinical data monitoring.
