What should I do if I am absent?

1.

Check teacher’s website

2.

Print lesson plans from the dates of your absence.

3.

Place lesson plan in notebook on appropriate pages.

4.

Complete warm up from lesson plan and be sure to have teacher check it for a grade.

teacher check it for a grade.

Science Binder

 The science binder is organized like a book. Each page is assigned a number/date. At the end of every unit, the papers from that unit are removed and filed in order to prepare for the next unit. Binder checks will occur often throughout the year. It is the student’s

responsibility to make sure their binder is organized and ready for the binder check. During the first semester binder checks are announced, but during second semester they are unannounced. There is an example binder in our classroom that the students may use to organize their binder.

Safety/Lab Procedures

 Students are expected to follow all directions and safety procedures outlined by the teacher for lab activities. Any student who does not follow directions and procedures will be removed from the activity and will receive a zero. A safety contract will be reviewed and signed by each student and parent before a student will be allowed to conduct a lab experiment.
