Treasurer’s Report: Lori Hecht
 Funding request – Ron Kern received a quote for refurbishing metal carts in kitchen, used
throughout the school by different groups. Total of $295. (Member donating $500 toward the
process.)
 Heidi submitted receipts for faculty appreciation week, daddy/daughter dance
 Lori submitted receipts for volunteer appreciation dinner
Principal’s Report: Dan Stoelting
 Expressed appreciation from faculty and staff for things done for them during the week. Lunch
was great and nice to be able to eat together.
 Classroom sign quote a little less than original quote ($850-900)
 Last year’s yearbooks are close to being finished. Rummel put together template, will be easy to
adapt for future years.
School Board Report: Stacy Proffer
 Did not sell out Mother’s Day chicken bbq. Short on pies – had to buy 80. Only had 11 people
respond to request for assistance from FD, 100+ donated from church families.
Child Care Report: Lisa Schultz
 Going to voters meeting and church council to try to get software system approved
 Child care will provide volunteers for inflatables and face painting at picnic. Kathi Pearson called
to verify our insurance will cover it. Inflatables will be for Preschool and younger. Teachers will
explain to students it is for younger children. K-8 students have obstacle course.

 38 responses
 Saturday is preferred day for Delta swim
 Fall suggested idea Trunk or Treat event
 Vassar movie theater
 Newsletter feedback – interview kids about activities
Daughter Dance & Mother Son events
 Good turnout again for dance
 Marty Wenzel did a great job as DJ
 Rachelle working on photos
 Bowling event went smooth
 Confusion about photo costs – make sure we set photographer/photo fees before events ($5
per mom/son photo, $10 per dad/daughter photo)
Volunteer Appreciation & Staff Appreciation
 Good turnout for volunteer appreciation
 Loved video that Heidi put together
 Staff appreciation went well, had lots of parent helpers for classrooms
 8th graders helped with lower grades – great idea
New Business:
Chrysler Fundraiser
 Dan putting blurb in newsletter
 Adding to church bulletin
 Dan suggested giving part of funds to church (home purpose?) since this is a church/school
event – must be used for a community event. May get more participation if church members
know part of funds would go toward church). Or towards school sign?
 Need to do safety video with volunteers helping with the event
 Drivers will need to complete a survey at the end of the test drive.
 Recommended volunteers: Greeter, usher (paperwork), safety patrol person. Do one hour time
slots.
 They bring welcome tent
 Have handicap parking at school and everyone else park at church? Then route could be lot in
front of school, right onto road, right back into school lot. Or check on longer route through
church parking lot next to fire hall. Lindsey will check with Shafer Bierlein.
 Give sticker to drivers to show they participated
 Could do drawing for participants, extra tickets for children, announce throughout picnic
 Lori Karst will be contact person on the day of the event
