Makeup Work Policy
If you miss class due to an absence, come see me as soon as you return to arrange for any makeup work. In
general, you will be given the same number of days to complete the work you missed. Therefore, if you were
sick for two days and missed two classes, then you will get two days to complete the work. As mentioned
earlier, if something serious comes up, come to see me immediately to arrange an extension.
Late Work will be accepted for partial credit but only if work is complete, name, date and assignment is clearly
labeled.
NOTE: All work should be kept in case of grade discrepancies.
discrepancies.
Test Retakes: Unit tests may be taken upon completion of specific teacher requirements. An appointment
must be made for a time outside of class, within a specified time communicated by the teacher.
Tardy Definition: Students are on time if seated and ready to begin class when the bell rings.
TUTORIAL Hours: If you need extra help, have questions, or need to make up a test or quiz the times
that I am available will be communicated verbally or on the white board at the beginning of each week.
STRATEGIES for SUCCESS
DO your work daily. Participate in class discussions. Attend tutoring. ASK QUESTIONS!
I cannot stress this enough!
If you do not understand something, chances are someone else feels the same
way! Most importantly, don’t give up, KEEP TRYING!!!! Look for improvement in everything you do.
Pictures and video: I may take pictures and/or video of the class for personal reflection and professional
development. No images will be posted to a website or internet without prior consent.
