Position Summary
Fort Lewis College (NCAA Division II), located in beautiful Durango, Colorado is Colorado’s public liberal

The Head Coach is responsible for the coordination of the Men’s Soccer program. The Head Coach also
provides the essential balance and commitment between academic and athletic excellence while
demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills. Projected start date is March 1, 2016.
Responsibilities
 Overall management of the program
 Coaching
 Recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
 Planning and implementation of fundraising activities
 Budget management
 Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
 Bachelor’s Degree
 Demonstrated experience as a men’s soccer coach at one of the following levels: Head Elite Club
Coach, Assistant Collegiate Coach or Head Collegiate Coach.
Preferred Qualifications
 Master’s Degree
 Demonstrated leadership abilities
 History of working with and the understanding of the rules and regulations pertaining to NCAA
DII men’s soccer
 Strong organizational and communication skills
 Experience in fundraising
 Ability to foster relationships with Alumni, community members, and donors
Compensation
A salary of $45,000 - $50,000 is anticipated for the position in addition to the full benefits package
offered to exempt staff. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This is a 12-month, full-time position.
