City, Cobh & Distillery Tour
If you are in Cork for just a short time, then this is the tour for you. This unique half day experience
gives you a great taster on what makes Cork unique. We commence with a short walking tour of the
heart of the city, primarily sticking to what is locally known as “The Island”, and over towards the
historic Shandon Street district. After a visit to the winding streets and listening to stories about
famous residents of the area such as Mother Jones, who was once described as the most dangerous
woman in America, we will be met by our coach and it’s on to some of the city's outlying highlights
including Cork Gaol, The Glucksman Gallery and the Blackrock Observatory before heading out of
town to visit the world famous Jameson Distillery. Located just 20 minutes from Cork city, the
Jameson Experience is recognized as a world class cultural and educational visitor experience.
Originally established in 1825, the Jameson Distillery in Midleton is one of the most widely visited
attractions in the South of Ireland.
From here we visit the town of Cobh formerly known as Queenstown and the last port of call of the
Titanic for a leisurely waterfront tour. Afterwards there is plenty of time for lunch, to explore The
Titanic Museum, take a harbour tour or climb the hill to The Cathedral and take in the spectacular
views.
Highly Recommended: Stop into Linehans for some of their hand made sweets mmmm!

Waterford Crystal Tour
This is a fascinating tour that is unique to Cork Day Tours, and takes in some lesser known highlights
of Ireland's south coast in the area known as the Ring of Cork. The first stop of the day is Youghal
(pronounced Yawl) with its medieval ramparts, historic buildings and connections with Sir Walter
Raleigh, Oliver Cromwell and the Black Knights. This is an intriguing town and was once the most
important Port in the country.
In Waterford, you will have plenty of time to visit Ireland's oldest city. Originally a Viking settlement,
the city is more than 1000 years old and here you will meet a local guide who will bring you on a
colourful, fun and insightful tour around the Viking Triangle, the Catacombs and the Bishops Palace.
You will be amazed to learn of Napoleons connections with Waterford as well as King Henry VIII....
Bet you're curious now!
The last stop of the day is a tour of the world famous Waterford Crystal Experience, before returning
to Cork.

Havens, Harbours & Hidden Gems (Cork's Wild Atlantic Way)
The Wild Atlantic Way is fast becoming one of the world's most iconic touring routes and while the
west coast has received most of the focus to date, Ireland's south west coastline is equally stunning.
On this day out, we take you off the beaten track and away from the busy major routes taken by
most visitors.
Along the way you will hear stories and legends of battles & saints, monasteries & castles, ship
wrecks & daring rescues, all framed by spectacular scenery, postcard pretty villages and breathtaking coastlines. It truly is what the name says - a tour of Havens, Harbours and Hidden Gems.
Tour Highlights
Timoleague Abbey, Ballydehob (home of the strongest man in the world), Schull (the village that
