Landauer Medical Physics is currently looking for an experienced board certified Diagnostic Medical
Physicist to work in a growing regional and national medical physics practice group as an independent
contractor in the Midwest / Chicagoland area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
 Equipment evaluations for all types of radiographic, fluoroscopic, breast imaging, ultrasound, CT,
MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy and PET/SPECT/SPECT-CT imaging systems.
 Performs ACR Accreditation support and surveys. Meets the continuing education requirements
for medical physicists for ACR accreditation in mammography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET and
nuclear medicine.
 Performs mammography equipment evaluations in emergent situations, meeting MQSA
requirements.
 Completes all reports on time and accurately, which consists of analysis data, listing observations
and recommends follow-up actions.
 Completes Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Safety Surveys:
o Safety and Radiation protection surveys to determine compliance with applicable State
and Professional guidelines.
o Radioactive Materials License Amendments.
Qualifications:
 Board Certification
 Illinois registration
 Able to meet the MQSA requirements to perform mammography equipment evaluation.
 Excellent verbal & writing communications
 Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases
 Organizational and communication skills are also required.
 Have working knowledge of Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook.
