The title for IFST’s 2015 Spring Conference is ‘Food safety in the court of public opinion’. We are inviting posters that fit the theme to be displayed at our conference.
Posters are welcome from conference attendees conducting research relating to any aspect of food safety. Posters are especially encouraged from those conducting research relating to food safety and the consumer.
In addition to our poster showcase, we will be holding a poster competition open to postgraduate student attendees. These posters will be judged by a panel of experts who will assess overall suitability, impact and clarity of the research for display at the conference along with the validity of the research methodologies used. Submissions, in the form of abstracts initially, are now being accepted for consideration.

Deadline for receipt of abstract submissions by 2 March 2015

Decisions regarding your abstract will be communicated to you by email by 16 March 2015

In order for abstracts to be accepted into the conference programme one author of the poster must register and pay to attend the conference by 30 March 2015

Abstracts should be provided by completing the attached template.
 Maximum 300 words, NOT including the abstract title, authors’ details and references

All fields within the template must be completed

When entering the names of the authors please follow the format: Title, first name, surname, affiliation, town/city of affiliation, country of affiliation e.g. Jon Poole, Institute of Food Science and Technology, London, UK

Please ensure you also complete the initial section providing details of the author attending the conference who is intending on presenting the poster

Save and send your submission document as a word document with the filename using surname and first initial of the presenting author e.g. Poolej.doc

Abstracts not meeting these criteria will be returned

