Nottingham Children’s Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Paediatric
Gastroenterology Specialist to cover a maternity locum for 9 months in the
first instance. There is support from junior doctors including an allocated
registrar, specialist nurses, pharmacist and dieticians working closely with
surgical and adult based colleagues. Opportunities for professional
development are abundant as our services develop to meet the needs of
children across the East Midlands. Children’s services in Nottingham are
united at the Queens Medical Centre campus, co-located with the medical
school and university.
PGHN in Nottingham is a tertiary service serving a population of 2.5 million.
Clinical & research links with our adult colleagues in the internationally
renowned Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre Biomedical Research Unit
are well established providing an opportunity for high quality continuing
professional development. We work in a multidisciplinary team with specialist
nursing, dedicated dietician support and surgical colleagues.
All consultants are appointed as Clinical Teachers by Nottingham University.
Applicants must be on the GMC specialist register, or within 6 months of their
expected date of CCT at time of interview.
