The all-round development of child is the aim of
education and kendriya vidylayas are playing an
important role to achieve this goal. That is why they
are called pacemaker institutes.
Rainbow is an effort to detail the glimpse of different
activities which are being organized in our
vidyalaya. It is also a mirror which reflects our
efforts in the direction who achieve our goals.
Common Minimum Programme (CMP) was first
introduced in January 2008 and detailed guidelines
were issued vide this office letter no;' F.28-69 /2007KVS(Acad) dated 04.01.2008 . The latest letter in
this regard was issued on 04.01.2010 which further
delineated all points to make it more workable.
The above referred letter of 04.01 was
necessitated in the light of the findings of 'Sample
Survey on CMP' conducted in 08 , selected Kendriya
Vidyalayas of Delhi. The shortcomings were noticed
in respect of all 05 parameters suggested in the first
letter. The main findings of the survey are as given
below:(a) III-equipped resource room
(b) In-sufficient books in class-libraries
(c) Under utilization of monthly funds as well as total
funds to the
tune of 25% of VVN
(d) Inadequate opportunities/programs for exposure
to children (e) Ineffective monitoring at all three
levels
(f) Non-interaction amongst PRTs
(g) Absence of demonstration lessons and school
level workshop
Different colors of our activities
1. School Readiness Program: - After a warm
hearty welcome our little kids were introduced
to every corner of the school.to create a homely
felling the class room of class I was decorated
beautifully.
During this program they learnt to greet
teachers elders etc. and to share and care for
each other. They head joy and fun with learning.
2. Independence Day: - The festival of our nation’s
freedom was celebrated in a joy full way.
3. Classroom activity:-
4. Litter Monitors: - The litter monitors were
selected; they were given in respective badges.
5. Demonstration classes: - In the changing era
the teaching methodology has changed. Our all
efforts are to make the learning easier and
interesting for the students for this purpose we
have class activities Ppts and demo classes.
6. Film show: - we have regular film shows for our
students with the help of magic studio. They
learn moral values and life skills through these
film shows.
7. Community lunch: - Community lunch provides
a platform in learning of different values as
sharing of food items and helping each other in
different ways.
8. Excursion: - All students of primary classes had
gone to the nearby park with their teachers.
They sang played and had a lot of fun there.
They were overwhelmed by this short excursion
for them.
9. Art & Craft: - Creativity is a natural quality of
children. They need only a proper guidance to
unfold it and it is being done in our vidyalaya.
Students are crazy to show their talent.
10. Parents Teacher Meeting: - Evolution is main
part of our teaching learning process. The allround development of child is a combined effort
of school and family. For this purpose we have
regular parents and teachers during which
teachers and parents discuss together to lead
the child towards better tomorrow.
11. Health checkup: - For taking care of our
students we have to session of health checkup.
The first round of health checkup was
conducted in the super vision of in charge and
class teachers.
