Macromolecules and Food- Lab Report Alternative Assignment
Write a 4 page ( minimum) report about the different macromolecules ( proteins, carbohydrates,
starches, and lipids). Include the following information for these molecules:
1) General structure of the molecule
2) Importance in the body- what are these molecules used for in the body/How they are
stored/produced in the body.
3) Examples of foods containing these molecules
4) Tests that can be done to check for the presence of these molecules
Reference using APA format- See my website. APA citation rules are posted under the
syllabus on my main page. YOU DO NOT NEED TO INCLUDE AN ABSTRACT.
Use a minimum of 5 different references.- They must be listed on a separate References page
( this is not included in the 4 pages, this is an additional page that is added to the back).
You will be graded on including the appropriate information for each macromolecule listed
above and for following directions in setting up the report and using APA style.
