PCS School-Parent
Compact
Parents’ of Title 1 students will be
informed how their children are
selected for individual services via
letter. Parents will have an
opportunity to meet with the Title
1 teachers to discuss their child’s
program. A Parental Involvement
Compact will be distributed to all
parents of Title 1 students (served).





This compact will describe shared
responsibility between the student,
parent, teacher, and principal
which will assist the child in
becoming a successful student and
shall address all criterion set. The
compact will be kept on file with
the student’s data. The Title 1
teachers will consult with and
collaborate with classroom
teachers regarding progress
reports and report cards. Parents
will receive information at Title 1
“parent meetings” and parentteacher conferences.


The student handbook (part B)
explains the promotion and retention
standards as set forth by PCS.
The Title 1 teachers will communicate
students’ progress via information
sent home bi monthly.
To include but not limited to leveled
reading books, running records, DRA,
READ 3D, and Records of Progress.
The Title 1 teachers/classroom
teachers will maintain Weebly sites to
inform families about progress and
events that allow involvement and
volunteer opportunities. The Title 1
teachers will arrange availability
before and after school to hold
meetings with parents, in addition to
regularly scheduled conferences.
If a parent is unable to meet before or
after school, a time will be scheduled
to meet with the parents.
If transportation is an issue for the
parent, the Title 1 teachers will make












