Reading is the basis of student success in all academic areas. In order to improve student reading, we need to identify reading levels of sophomore
students at the beginning and end of each school year. We will use that data to place students in a reading class and adapt curriculum as needed to
improve student achievement.

Students will attain a reading level sufficient to access the curriculum of their grade level and learn the content in all curricular areas.

The Utah State Board of Education and Murray City School Board require the teaching of good citizenship principles. In addition, all stakeholders
of Murray High School agree that the demonstration of good citizenship is essential for properly functioning schools and communities.

Students will learn and demonstrate values such as trust, respect, responsibility, integrity and will practice principles of good citizenship.
