40” Early. One of the most popular Siberians. The flowers are medium blue
with erect standards and velvety falls. The foliage remains beautiful until frost. It is very vigorous and easy to grow.
Cheery Lyn (Anna Mae Miller, ‘90). 37" Early bloom season. Standards lilac with blue lines; style arms white;
falls deep pink veined blue, white edge, green eye.
Chilled Wine (Hager, 1981). 38" M & RE. S. wine carmine with blue lines at midrib; F. wine carmine, blue in
center, dark veining at throat.
China Spring (Bob Bauer and John Coble, 1999). 40" Very early bloom season. Standards light blue; style
arms pallid blue; Falls medium blue, darker veins, light blue petal edges, white blaze.

32” Mid-season. Ruffled mid-to-deep blue, large creamy yellow blaze,
lighter blue style arms with red tinges
Crème Caramel (Shafer-Sacks ’03) Midseason, 29”. F. Smooth soft caramel with yellow signals. Standards and
styles pale yellow. Each flower lightens in the sun, creating a bi-tone effect. Loaded with flowers, up to 6 buds per

pale yellow standards light blue. Style arms have aqua mid-ribs, dark blue-violet edging and large floret curls
opening yellow.
Enfant Prodige (Huber 97) (Species X)
A complicated cross of versicolor with Japanese irises, it is very
vigorous and blooms for a long time, and late. Beautiful lilac standards, white style arms, lilac falls with darker
veining, bright yellow signal. A very choice plant.

Fisherman's Morning (Copeland ’94) 31”. Mid-season. S. rose red-violet, style arms veined and shaded

Deep wine red; S. waved at edge, F. waved and ruffled
with large circular gold blaze fading to white. HC ’85; HM ’89, AM 91, Morgan-Wood Medal ’93.
I. Sanguinea “Kamayama”
(obtained in Japan by Witt, ’68) 36”. Tall, vigorous, rich violet, occasionally
bears a branch. Makes a splendid, tall show. One of the best.

Little Tricolor (Sensenback, ‘69) 32" Mid-season. Mixture of blue-violet-purple. Exquisite
Louisiana Iris (Deep Blue) The cultivar is unknown.
The iris is gorgeous, deep blue/purple with magenta
highlights. Louisiana irises do best in wet spots, so if you have a part of your garden that frustrates you with minor
floods, try it there.
Magnum Bordeaux (Bob Bauer and John Coble, ‘00). 32" M, Standards wine red, held at 45° angle; style arms
wine red, ruffled side wings and crests; falls wine red, blue violet veins extending from blue violet halo, white
signal area.
Navy Fanfare (Warburton,
‘83) 32" M-L. Blue w. navy blue shoulders; aqua styles nearly floret type, curled.
Orville Fay ( McEwen, ‘70). 36, M-L. Blue self with veins; styles at center and
at edges. Second generation
tetraploid.. Honorable Mention 1971; Morgan Award 1976.
Pansy Purple (McEwen ’69) M-L season, 28”, Beautiful purple, no blaze but 2-3 short white lines at base of
midrib.
Percheron (Warburton 1982) 35” Midseason. Veined and dappled blue-violet on light blue ground. Ruffled.
Reprise (Warburton, 1986). 32" M-L & RE. Violet with darker veining on F.; narrow white signal; blended aqua
and rosy violet styles.
Salamander Crossing
(Schafer/Sacks ‘99). 42" early, mid to late season bloom. Standards palest lavender
ground, heavy lavender speckling; style arms speckled lavender, buff tips; falls pale yellow heavily speckled
lavender, less at edge, gold to yellow signal with deep lavender veining.
Shaker’s Prayer (Warner ’89) 40”.
Early to late season. Standards violet, red-violet styles. Falls golden
yellow hafts turning to white ground in center, overall delicate lilac veining, solid violet at edge.
Ships are Sailing (Shafer/Sacks 98) 35”. S. light blue ground, darker bluebird-blue shading and veining, light
blue 1/8” edge; style arms pearly pale blue, darker midrib; F. darker bluebird-blue, deeper veining, light blue edge.
Signal small, yellow-gold with heavy deep blue-violet veining; lightly ruffled. HM 2001, AM 2003
Sky Mirror (Warburton, ‘87). 35" M-L. S. violet blue, darker veining on centerline; violet blue styles flushed
aqua on each side of midrib; F. darker violet blue surrounding distinct green signal, radiating out to lighter
shoulders and edge.
Summer Revels (Schafer/Sachs ’99) 28”, Mid-season rebloomer, Standards and style arms cream to light
canary yellow, green midrib on style arms, falls yellow base, warm yellow central flush and shoulders, deeper
yellow signal, bright green hafts
