The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a
regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate
takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date
knowledge.
The Internship is a full time position, initially for a 12 month period, but it is expected that this Internship will
become a full time permanent role. The Graduate Internship will be based at Yerra Solutions Ltd in Sunderland.

Reporting to the Team Manager, the successful candidate will benefit from the companies wealth of experience. The COO is
a UK qualified lawyer with experience working for a large UK law firm (Kennedys) and one of the largest global insurers
(AIG).
The CEO has almost 20 years’ experience working in large global corporate organisations in both the UK and the USA
including such organisations as Accenture, RBS, AstraZeneca, PWC, CSC and even some Government experience at the
Home Office.

The Role:
Working as an Analyst, this is an exciting new position with the main focus of:

Legal invoice review

Manipulation of data in Microsoft Excel

Writing client reports

General assistance with law firm contract and performance management processes
On a daily basis the job will include the review and analysis of legal spend from a range of global law firms. This will be
completed using a selection of database tools (including Excel and Access) with the aim to produce quarterly reports for our
clients. Alongside the legal spend management there will be an opportunity to undertake tasks within other departments (e.g.
HR and Marketing).
Other required tasks may include (but not limited to):

Arranging, attending and minute-taking internal and external meetings

Acting as a first point of contact for clients and prospective clients

Undertaking ad hoc research projects

Issuing / reviewing invoices for the company

Scheduling meetings and travel for the company directors

Preparation of presentations

Website / marketing support for the company

Prepare internal company status reports

Support any time recording requirements of the UK Team

Produce any ad hoc materials required

Arrange all internal and client functions / events

Support Marketing activities and working with the external marketing agency to ensure we are receiving value for
money and that they are completing tasks on-time, within required budget etc.

Support with HR workload around areas such as healthcare plans, pensions etc.

Support Finance and Procurement activities including getting quotes for goods and services, negotiating with
suppliers and supporting the putting together and monitoring of UK budgets

Support Technology with App development, administration etc.
