Notes: This is an application to have your name placed on a panel of potential interviewers from which successful
applicants will subsequently be selected, as required, for training and assessment of their suitability for the work in
question.
Data Protection
This application requires you to submit “personal data” as defined by the Data Protection Acts 1988-2003. These
data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of recruitment, selection and employment procedures, including
further vetting with appropriate third parties (Garda vetting) as necessary. As noted below, you will be asked to

Please note if you are invited to participate in the initial selection process (attend a 3 hour Information Session) you
will be required to bring references. It is GUI policy to request 2 written references which may be validated at the
discretion of the Study Team.
Reference criteria:

Reference must be independently written by referee
A family member cannot act as a referee
The ESRI cannot provide a reference
The referee must be precise about the nature of the relationship between themselves and the applicant
References must be dated
References must have an original signature
References must contain a contact telephone number for the referee
Ideally references will be provided on headed paper
At least 1 reference must be written within the last year
Ideally no reference should be older than 3 years
Ideally at least 1 reference should be from an employer (paid or voluntary work)
A reference that is not from an employer should be from a person of standing within the community
