Classroom Rules, Procedures, and Expectations 20152016
Expectations:
I expect you to come to class everyday and put your best foot forward. That means following
the Classroom Rules and Procedures at all time. If at any time you cannot meet the
Expectations asked of you, actions will be taken to get you back on track for success. However,
if we continue to experience the same problems on a regular basis further steps will be taken.
Below is the order of steps that will be taken to correct actions or behaviors that are not in
line with Mr. Lawson’s expectations and that of St. Charles School:
1.
Warning: a verbal and written warning given by a teacher’s signature in the
Student’s assignment book, communicated to the student and the student’s
parent/guardian via the assignment book.
2. Referrals and Lunch Detention: issued by the teachers upon attaining 3 warnings for minor
offenses. Detentions will take place Fridays during lunch in room 212.
3. Principal Referral: issued by principal upon receiving 3 teacher referrals; consequence to be
determined by principal.
Warning/Referral/Detention System – Grades 6-8: is to be consistent with the St. Charles Middle
School Discipline Policy provided at the beginning of the school year.
Accountability is important. Therefore, I am asking you to please share this
document with your parents. Once you have had a chance to read over this
document together, please sign and date the document, and return it for a
homework grade.
Student and Parent Responsibility:
I have read this document and agree to the Classroom Rules, Procedures,
and Expectations stated above. It is my responsibility, as a St. Charles
Student to abide by the Classroom Rules, Procedures, and Expectations set
