Gen Ed Skills—Definitions and Objectives
To fulfill a skill, a course must:
1) Devote at least 10 hours of student experience focused on the skill. This can be achieved either
in the classroom or through appropriate course assignments.
2) Assess the skill as an identifiable, distinct component of the class grade.
It is recommended that:
