ESSAY – Discuss the role of the Great Awakening and explain how it changed the way
people thought. Include specific examples.

ESSAY - After reading about all the conflict in this section between Britain and the
early colonists, do you think that the Revolutionary War was really the only option,
or do you think that a peaceful resolution could have been reached? Choose a side
and use specific examples to support your decision.

ESSAY - Read pgs. 158-159 which discusses divisions in the colonies over going to
war with Britain for independence.
