Literature Criticism – A Research Process
Why Literature Criticism

Authors present us with works that can have multiple meanings, expecting us
to consider the works thoughtfully and to interpret meaning.

Writers and critics build on each other’s understanding of a work of
literature, in a kind of dialogue.

Noted authors often have a body of criticism attached to their work.
Critics evaluate and debate not only the body of work but also the
ideas and philosophies of fellow critics.
