Progressive Strength Training can be very beneficial and assist with the management of chronic conditions
like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis and osteoporosis. Duration 60 minutes.

Heart Foundation Walking Group is a self-paced walking group for those wanting the added security of
walking in a group. Meet at MRH 10 minutes prior to walk.
Theraband A combination of floor, seated and standing exercises using resistive bands to strengthen core
abdominals and muscles of the upper and lower limbs. Duration 90 minutes.
Cost $10.00 per class.

Better Mobility This gentle exercise session is an excellent way to begin or restart your exercise program.
It is designed to increase flexibility, mobility, balance and strength. All of the exercises can be adapted to
chairs or wheelchairs. A lot of fun in this group. Duration 60 minutes.

Falls Prevention Learn about how to keep yourself safe at home. Hear Allied Health Professionals speak
on Pharmacy, Psychology and Diet, and participate in Balance Exercises. An Occupational Therapist will
assist with identifying how to improve your home environment.

Mums & Bubs Pilates Low impact Pilates exercise class for post-natal women using fitballs, foam rollers
and resistive bands. Focusing on strengthening pelvic floor and core abdominals post baby as well as muscles
of the upper and lower limbs. Bring your baby along to the class with a blanket and toys to have their tummy
time during the class. Duration 90 minutes.

Warm Water Exercise Warm Water Exercise is an excellent medium for arthritic joints. Water acts as a
shock absorber, reducing stress on joints and allows a full range of movement. The massage effect of water
increases circulation and promotes relaxation. A great way to become and stay fit. Duration 60 minutes.

Cooking for 1 or 2 Learn how to cook quick, easy, healthy meals to serve one or two. This is a relaxed,
friendly, social group, utilising the new MRH kitchen. Enjoy your meal with rest of the group at the end of the

people. The impact on independence levels and quality of life can be immense. This class is designed to
increase your flexibility, mobility, coordination and balance. A lot of fun, including obstacle courses, ball
